Meet at 6:45pm for a 7pm start on St Giles Close, Gilesgate, Durham DH1 1XH. Bring torches and appropriate clothing/footwear for a walk that will involve mud, steep slopes and will continue after dark.
We will first walk around the woods checking the contents of bat boxes (with a member of Durham Bat Group, who has a bat licence). This will take around two hours.
After dark we will then use a bat detector to identify species on the wing.
